What are we thinking about now?

Children in economically disadvantaged families disproportionately belong to other vulnerable groups including children with disabilities, children of immigrants, and children of color. Recent events have highlighted for us the way systemic racism, in particular, shapes the lives and development of Black children. As a research team, we condemn racism and racially-based violence and discrimination and acknowledge its pervasive impact on children’s lives and futures. We are committed, through our research, to better understand and address the impact of anti-Black racism on child health, learning and wellbeing. We invite young scholars, and especially young scholars of color, to work with us.
